DoubleTree by Hilton Denver Westminster

This was a beautiful hotel! You do have to pay a little extra to have the breakfast buffet included but for our family of 4 it was still way cheaper than going out for breakfast every morning. Our waitress Shondra was amazing! She was so kind and attentive every day we were there. It was truly amazing service. Our main issue with this hotel is the heat. We had our thermostat set to 60, the lowest it could go, and it still never dropped the room temperature below 73 degrees. It made it very hard to get a good night's sleep. Hopefully they invest in some individual window units for the rooms before our next trip out here. Otherwise we might have to find better accommodations.

Upon entry, the lobby was nice. Staff was very kind and friendly. Cute bar, our bartender was fantastic. The only downside was the room. Don't get me wrong, I believe this place could be better if it gets a good deep cleaning. Hence my lower review, it was not at its full potential. Either a former guest smoked, or it used to be a smoking room. Just had that stench, so the carpet could use a good scrubbing. The bathroom could use a lift; outdated tub, stains, old toilet. The ceiling was poorly patched, just looked unsightly. The windows/ sills have never been cleaned. The AC surely needs an upgrade, barely kept up to 73. Another guest who I ran into on the patio said his is blowing HOT, and they said they'd fix it. Didn't happen, however. His room was 83°. But at the price point, it's certainly not the worst option. I've been in MUCH worse.

Don’t get fooled by the name “Hilton”. This is a great value version of Hilton if anything. We paid for a king size bed but we got a double bed room instead. The bathroom was also very dirty. When I mentioned this to the service desk lady, she REFUSED to help me and said she’ll “follow up” over phone. That phone call never came. This is not the type of service one should expect from Hilton. I am extremely disappointed and I never expected to get this poor service from a 4 star hotel. I’ve received better service from a local motel 6. It seems like the staff here doesn’t care about guests at all. Save your hard earned money and stay away from this place.
