DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport

Reception team were fantastic. We had a nice meal in the restaurant although there seemed to be a disconnect between who was doing what in terms of servers. Pool staff were also great and very welcoming. There seemed to be an issue with the locks on the lockers but it did not affect our stay.

I got a room here after having my flight delayed 5 hours before being cancelled. I had no expectations but this place ended up being a gem. Friendly staff, nice spacious rooms, and probably the nicest hotel fitness center I have ever seen. The gym was even better than some of the 5-star hotels I’ve stayed at. Fully equipped and they even have a jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. This hotel was the silver lining on an otherwise frustrating day.

Very disappointed with the condition of the hotel. I spent £159 for one night and the room was dirty and shabby. Someone’s used water bottle sat outside our door and a dirty glass with what looked like evaporated coke was in the room. The towels were chucked on the rack without care and the room looked like it had seen better days. I payed a little more to book the Hilton expecting to have a luxurious experience. The room had a broken hairdryer and I had to call twice before a replacement was sent up whilst I sat with wet hair waiting to go to bed. Thumbs down, do not recommend. There are cheaper and no doubt better options nearby.
