DoubleTree by Hilton Fairfield Hotel & Suites

I have meetings in New York City often and find this hotel, very convenient and the location simple to get into the city. My company is doing a second seminar here in October because the staff here did such a great job for us the first time as well. Everybody that works at this hotel does an amazing job.

Hotel & Suites and had a great experience. The rooms are clean, modern, and well-kept, with great air conditioning that made the stay super comfortable. The whole place feels recently updated and fresh. Service was on point-staff was friendly, helpful, and professional from check-in to check-out. Overall, a solid stay and would definitely come back.

We booked this hotel since it was the recommended place to stay for a wedding we attended in the area. The rest of the family was staying here and we had a discounted rate (still not very cheap). We booked a king room and it was very spacious however the bathroom was tight, which is fine you don’t spend much time in there. Overall the location was good, target is located in the next lot, staff were friendly. The bathroom needs updating, there was rust on the metal shaving mirror fixture and the light on that didn’t even work. No exhaust fan in the bathroom so the condensation just sits. They suggest skipping room service yet they only provided two towels which was fine for my needs only because we stayed one night, if I stayed two nights I would have needed more towels. There were dark marks on top of the toilet tank cover that made it seem dirty, the shower drain was incredibly slow as if that’s not bad enough the water came out from both places the shower head and the tub nozzle causing the tub to fill up even quicker. The water was up to my ankles and I had to turn the water off to allow it to drain, this is a huge pet peeve of mine. Drains need to work properly especially in hotels, it’s disgusting to think of what could be floating in that water collecting at your feet. I didn’t call maintenance because we only had a one night stay, I didn’t report it to the front desk because no one was there when we were leaving so I dropped my key in the bowl and we left. Please do not comment to contact you on how you can make this right, the only way to make it right is to credit me for my stay or part of it, even with the group rate it cost over $200. Regular maintenance is something hotels need to keep up with especially in areas like the bathroom. I will never stay here again and based on this I will opt for other hotel chains in the future.
