Doubletree by Hilton Fort Myers at Bell Tower Shops

We hosted a wedding reception here and it was absolutely wonderful! The hotel has been updated and is in excellent condition. The managers and staff in each line of business related to the event provided the best customer service and professionalism. I highly recommend this hotel for any important event you are planning.

The hotel is clean and comfortable with a very beautiful pool. Security walks around night and day to ensure safety and the hotel staff were all really nice. My favorite thing about all Hilton properties is how lively they always are, and this one was no different. There are quite a bit of things to do & places to shop & eat in the area. Dave & Buster's, a movie theater, an escape room, and more are a short walk away. If you happen to want/need anything late night or don't feel like leaving the property, theres a convenience store in the lobby. This store stocks microwave meals, snacks, drinks, gum, candy, wine bottles, and even some convenience items like over-the-counter medicine, hygiene items, etc. Personally, I think some of these items were overpriced, but thats for you to decide. There is also a laundry room and fitness center available to guests. We booked a king suite w/ a pull-out sofa bed and it met our needs well. There was a microwave, mini fridge, and a Keurig. There was also a desk and outlets by the bed. I especially loved the bathroom, it was very pretty. I would've given this hotel five stars if not for the attached restaurant, "Shoeless Joe's." The restaurant staff had a nasty attitude and the breakfast "server" we had was very rude. The food was honestly gross, we ordered dinner and the 2 fish frys were mushy and nasty. Our wings had no sauce after specifically asking for mild, the only thing made right was the personal pizza. The breakfast buffet costs $15 a person and the food was not good, I couldn't even stomach more than a pastry and some fruit.

Pretty crappy that after checking in on the app and selecting a room on the fifth floor that they reassigned me to the fourth floor. Sure I’m a Hilton diamond member that stays 70+ nights a year…who gives a crap, right? I know it sounds entitled, and whiny, and I know grand scheme it’s not a big deal but I NEVER get upgraded with Hilton despite my loyalty and to basically get downgraded as the 5th floor is concierge level is so disappointing. I frequent the area a lot, I’ll be sure to stay somewhere else.
