Location is great, front desk people were so kind. The rooms have new furniture but the carpet is clearly old and kind of gross. The shower/bathroom was nasty! The shower floor was literally black 🤢
I recently stayed here for a few days! I enjoyed myself I’m not too picky, I worked for hotels so I kinda know the run around. My room cleanliness was 0/10 my feet turned black from just walking around the room, there was literally toe nail clipping, the sheets definitely weren’t changed which I knew happened so I brought my own sheets! The balcony sliding door was broken to where it didn’t lock and it was a huge struggle to open and close. The guy in the front desk at night is horrible. Does not like his job, n will probably let a group of guys take you if your alone! I was literally in the corner of the front desk hiding from a guy and when the guy found me and started harassing me, the guy in the front desk literally looked at us and then walked to the back. ( As a female in a town of college student this is not the hotel to go to alone!) my ac was great when it was running the moment the ac stop running it would get hot until the ac kicked back on. To end on a positive note, beautiful hotel, great decor, day shift staff was amazing, the bar was great, pool was amazing! (Please get rid of the bee hives)
I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Gainesville expecting a relaxing weekend. Unfortunately, that was not the case. On Sunday morning, the hotel began pressure washing outside, making it impossible to rest or sleep. The noise was extremely loud and intrusive, especially for a weekend morning. I called the front desk to express my concern, but nothing was done to address the issue. There was no warning, no apology, and no effort to move the cleaning to a more reasonable time of day. This lack of consideration for guests' comfort is unacceptable, especially from a Hilton-branded hotel. I expect better management and customer service. Sadly, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this property to others looking for a peaceful stay.
