DoubleTree by Hilton Hot Springs

Incredible hotel!! It was one of the best I have ever stayed in! The hotel had a stunning lobby with many seats. The room was very clean and nice. I felt very safe at this hotel! My room overlooked a beautiful body of water with many rocking chairs that provided places to sit and watch the water. The staff were friendly as well. The breakfast was not free, but the oatmeal was delicious!

As soon as we arrived and went to check in, the problems began. They couldn't find my reservation because they had my name backwards in their system. Took about 25 min. to check in, and no apology from them, they just blamed Booking.com. The room was clean enough and beds were comfy. There was no view because the patio outside our room was walled in. Couldn't see the lake at all. TV would play, but half the channels would play only sound with no picture. They expect you to pay for breakfast. At these prices, I don't think so. My husband (who had surgery on his neck 10 weeks prior) became very uncomfortable and painful so we decided to check out a day early to head home. I was told by the desk clerk the night before that there would be no problem and no extra fee. The next morning when I go to checkout, they tell me there will be a 75.00 fee for early checkout. When I explained about my husband's condition there was no empathy or care whatsoever. ITS POLICY MA'AM. I guess Paris Hilton doesn't have enough money. Will never stay at this chain again.

Dirty floor in 402 The front desk staff is never ready. I stopped by five times and each time I had to wait for the rep to finish working or running around before being serviced l. Only two entrances since there is a priority door for animals. Also, they clean the rooms throughout the day. My sign to not clean was on my door all morning. It fell off. If you have valuables and don’t want to worry, remember to make sure the sign stays hanging. Finding my reservation has nothing to do with anything. I mentioned the dirty floor as I checked out today. I told the lady that the floor has sand on it and the cleaners don’t feel it because they have on shoes.
