DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Amsterdam Ndsm Wharf

Our stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton at NDSM Wharf was a pleasant surprise and a great value overall. The concierge was exceptionally friendly and gave us several helpful tips for getting around, especially recommending the ferry into the heart of the city. The ferry runs every 15 minutes and, thanks to Amsterdam’s excellent public infrastructure, is completely free to use. This made reaching the vibrant city center both easy and enjoyable. The breakfast offered a good balance between quality and price, with a satisfying selection of fresh options. Our room and bed were on the smaller side, but very comfortable, and the view overlooking the shipyard district was truly special. The surrounding area has a strong artistic and cultural vibe. While the neighborhood might appear a bit rough around the edges at first glance, it is full of creative character and hidden gems if you explore with open eyes. Street art, local galleries, and quirky design shops bring a unique charm to the Wharf. Despite the lively surroundings, the hotel itself is very quiet and peaceful, allowing for a relaxing rest after a day in the city. We felt safe throughout our stay and appreciated the good price-to-quality ratio. A rare bonus for Amsterdam: a parking option within walking distance. All in all, a great base for exploring both the alternative and central sides of the city.

I absolutely loved this hotel! The view from the room was just incredible honestly, it might even be a downside if you’re planning to explore Amsterdam, because you just won’t want to leave the room 😄 The bed faces the window, and I could’ve spent hours just looking out. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful. Housekeeping came every day, and I really liked the convenient control panel in the room where you can press “do not disturb” or call for cleaning such a nice touch. It takes only 15 minutes to get to the city center by ferry, which is a great experience on its own! Beautiful views and a fun little ride across the water. I had breakfast at the hotel a couple of times it was good overall, but since I don’t eat meat, I found the vegetarian options a bit limited. Overall, I totally recommend this place especially if you’re looking for a hotel with a stunning view, great service, and a unique way to get to the city center 🙌

Nice hotel in Amsterdam ! Not in the city Center but easy to reach from the central station with the free ferry. The rooms are very nice and well designed. We can definitely recommend the hotel. Especially if you are looking for a hotel for a good price, but still close to the city Center.
