Rooms a 3/5. They are a bit dated and stains throughout the carpet. But the bed is clean and comfy, which is all I really care for. The restaurant is easily a 5/5. I was a bit skeptical when I saw there is only ever 1 server working at a time, but she handled it amazingly and was still able to take care of everyone. Chris in the kitchen also surprised me. By far the best hotel restaurant food I’ve had. Eaten here for the past 4 days, have gotten something new every time and it has never disappointed me
The five star review is off the service alone rooms could use some work and updates. However the restaurant downstairs was amazing Chris Martin was an amazing cook the buffalo wings are a hit and I think I ordered that every night for 5 days. The bartender Maddie was also amazing and her old fashions are amazing a must try and she is super attentive. And at the front desk Danna was super helpful every-time we had questions or needed anything. We stayed as a group for work and based of their service alone i would 100% return.
I stayed here this past weekend for my first time visit. First off, major kudos to LAUREN at the front desk. She was the only employee working it, and with a lobby full of guests waiting to check-in... she handled it with such ease and professionalism. Super sweet upon check-in and even remembered me later that evening when she saw me. She is a true asset to this hotel and made our stay more enjoyable. The only reason this hotel did not get 5 stars is due to the shape the room was in. The bathroom had markings of stains all over the wall that was some kind of product that was black and dark red in random places like by the trash can or up higher by the light switches. It made the bathroom feel dirty. Secondly, the room itself (1016 - great gulf view) had very old dingy/worn furniture. You could see something smeared all over the headboards when you walked in with the light hitting it as well so again some things just didn't feel really clean about the room itself. Just an overall worn down vibe in the room only, but the other aspects of the hotel had great upkeep though. I would give this hotel another chance in hopes of a room that just had better upkeep to it and as well as how wonderful the staff (aka Lauren) made our stay.
