DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre Regina

My stay was very good, front desk staff were helpful and polite. My room was on the corner and was very comfortable and quite. I left to continue my trip early, 5 am and the front desk staff were there with a smile and got all paperwork in order quickly and with smiles. Thank you to the staff!!

I've stayed here in the past and had positive experiences. Not to say this was a "bad" experience, but I feel i need to shed some light on the positive and negatives. Pros: Greeted by a nice clerk and warm cookies! Check-in was a simple and quick process, even was able to check in earlier than 4pm. Close to casino, Cornwall mall, and the many other shops that the downtown core has to offer. The lobby is immaculate, clean, and modern. There is also a restaurant and bar located in the hotel lobby. Cons: Room cleanliness was hit and miss. I found multiple stains of what I believe was coffee throughout the room; a handprint on the wall and parts of the bathroom such as the lightswitch, we're extremely dirty. I carry wipes with me, but for the amount of money we pay to stay at the establishment, I should get a discount for having to be my own cleaning lady. Another con is the $20 fee to park! When you already pay almost 200$ for the night, parking should automatically be included. It feels like a money grab, and if i recall correctly the last time I stayed, I was not charged a parking fee. The rooms could ultimately use a refresh, especially for the price, I've been in newer and nicer hotels.

Staff was welcoming , provided good service. Standard double room was good size but not the cleanest. Safety and security needs to be improved. Multiple people on and around property openly using illicit drugs at all hours. Drug paraphernalia everywhere around the outside of the hotel. Picture taken at 7am in your entry way.
