DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Grand Rapids Airport

The first room they gave me was musty and had a malfunctioning air conditioning unit that had leaked water all over the floor. Front desk staff was very nice and gave me a new room which overall was in good condition, but had a loose toilet seat. Breakfast buffet at the restaurant was decent, overall a nice hotel and location, but maintenance seems lacking.

I stayed here a few nights ago, and upon checking into my room I found bugs/flies on the telephone and flying around near the bed. When I spoke to management about the issue, they stated they didn’t see any flies in the room and refused to credit me for the room. Now if you’re going to charge $70-$80 more per night compared to the numerous other hotels in the area, then at least provide a clean, hospitable space. As for the manager, you made a bold statement by saying there was nothing in the room. I beg to differ. All future guests should see the photo below.

Horrible customer service. Booked a double queen with a refrigerator for insulin storage. Given a roon with two full size beds and no refrigerator. I was told they had no other rooms. This after having a reservation for a specific room. Front desk staff had a "too bad for you" attitude. On top of it all, room smells musty, and has stains on the walls and cobwebs in the corners. Will never be back.
