DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jacksonville Airport

Check in and check out have been smooth! I’ve been staying here in and out for the past few months. Bert at the coffee shop in the lobby is amazing! Highly recommend for anyone to stop by to get their morning going. Excellent service! And Amy at check in counter has been amazing. The rooms are ok some are hit or miss. Ursala in the restaurant has provided great service and I always ask for her to be my server. Looking forward to coming back tomorrow!

This hotel stay was frustrating from start to finish. The check-in process was not great; their "system" wasn't working, and it took over 10 minutes to get my room key. The hotel itself felt very dated and had a distinct musty smell, which wasn't a pleasant welcome. The issues continued with the elevator, which was a major irritation. It was incredibly rough during its ascent and descent, and it felt like an eternity for it to arrive at a floor. Once it finally did, the doors were very slow to close. To top it off, the service staff in the dining room were rude. After I walked in, and was not greeted by anyone, I went to grab some breakfast from the buffet. After sitting down, the server told me that this part of the dining room was closed, and that she will allow me to remain there and eat, but that next time I need to wait for someone to seat me. Their unwelcoming demeanor made breakfast an unpleasant experience. Overall, this hotel needs significant improvements, especially concerning its outdated systems, general upkeep, and staff training. The only thing this hotel has going for it, is the convenience to the airport.

I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville Airport and it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The tub was clogged. The tissue box had only two tissues. There were rust stains on the lamps and a strong mildew smell in the room. Shower fixtures were covered in hard water deposits and looked neglected. The beds were uncomfortable, and the hallway smelled like urine. The hotel restaurant served average food at high prices. On a positive note, the staff were professional and friendly, and the hotel offers a shuttle to and from the airport as well as a nearby shopping center. Unfortunately, those positives weren’t enough to outweigh the poor condition of the property. This will be my last time staying at a DoubleTree, except for the one location I trust. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
