Went there 2 days ago. Looks like they just renovated, Great services and vastly comfy, love the bed. Very convenient, right in the heart of dt Kamloops.
The room was smaller than what we're used to at other DoubleTree locations. The room was not very clean when we arrived — we found some candy on the floor, which seemed like it was left behind by the previous guests. Also, we were three people staying in the room, but we didn’t always receive the right number of clean towels. Some days we had three, and other days only two. Aside from that, everything else was fine. The staff was friendly, and the general atmosphere of the hotel was pleasant.
A very uncomfortable and unsafe stay. The small stuff...pool closed, hot tub closed, bar closed. The big stuff....Parking lot is where the homeless congregate. Approached several times. Felt very uncomfortable going back and forth to the car. TRAPPED IN THE ELEVATOR for 45 minutes, without my phone, and the staff had no idea what to do!!. Finally was able the staff to get my son from the room. He knew what to do and got the door open just as the fire department arrived. Uncomfortable and safety questionable.
