DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Kosice

Great hotel! Good service, very close to everything major in Kosice. You get out and you are at the city center. Great breakfast, tons of options. There could be a bit more options on the SPA side but I guess this is not the goal of the hotel.

Beautiful hotel. Great lobby. Well appointed bathroom with supplied amenities and soft towels. Comfortable beds. A rather large unusual use of space with five feet of unused space by the door and beds four inches apart. Great closet and the ventilation system works great. Con's are the location if you have a room on the side of the hotel facing Olympic Casino on the weekend. They blast club music very late at night into the morning and start again at 10am. The windows shake from the bass of the speakers across the street. It's very annoying and makes it rather impossible to sleep. The front desk staff are emotionless. They never smile and provide only short phrases in response. Perhaps they know little English- which is interesting because the clocks on the wall show times in far flung international destinations. When I asked questions they seemed puzzled.

Weak old fashioned interior & design far from normal classic standards of Hilton DoubleTree. Dark and not welcoming main restaurant serving breakfast - you don’t want to be in such area without the air and light. Rest things fine but nothing special. The age of this hotel is visible everywhere. Problems with setting proper water temperature during taking shower.
