Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Leominster

The staff at this hotel is truly outstanding—consistently friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to make my stay comfortable. From the front desk to housekeeping, every team member I've interacted with has made me feel genuinely welcome. I’ve been staying here for over three months on business, and the service has never once slipped. As a Gold member, I’ve received several complimentary upgrades, including suites and even the Presidential Suite. The hotel goes above and beyond expectations every time, ensuring everything is clean, smooth, and well taken care of. I couldn’t ask for a better experience.

The staff was lovely, the room cozy, and the fish and chips at the hotel restaurant were so massive, I briefly questioned maritime law. But the bathroom caulk...at one point I wasn't sure if the floor met the tub or if they were just on speaking terms. Water's got easier ways out than I do after a family gathering. Great stay overall, but someone needs to lay a bead on that shower situation.

This was our first stay in a Hilton, and we weren't terribly impressed. When getting off the elevator on the 7th floor, we noted a diesel fume-like smell that permeated our room next to the elevator and remained for the entire stay. The hand towel in the bathroom had some sort of stain on it, and the room badly needed updating. The bathtub looked original to the hotel and was not a walk-in shower. The walls between rooms were paper thin, and even though we were NOT in an adjoining room, we could clearly hear normal conversations from our neighbors and, later in the evening, their amorous adventures. Not something that you want to hear late at night when you have to get up early to drive the next day. There was no free breakfast, as we are accustomed to at other hotels we stay at, and the $16 charge for the breakfast buffet was high, especially if you just want a cup of yogurt and a piece of toast. Trying to find someone to just buy that at 6:30 in the morning didn't happen. On the plus side, the front desk staff was very attentive. The location could not be better for activities in the Leominster/Fitchburg area. The room was clean and quiet, despite being near Route 2. The fitness room was solid, and the bath towels were very nice. If we are in the area again, we will probably stay once more, but we will hope the place has been updated by then.
