I've stayed in quite a lot of Hilton properties over the past year, and this is by far the best one. The room was very clean, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and of course, the cookies.... Room service Ron was also phenomenal. He had a great attitude and went above and beyond to make sure the room service exceeded expectations. Great food, too. I will definitely be staying here anytime I'm in the Central Valley.
I've lost count of the times we've stayed here in the last couple of years. The railroad crossing nearby is loud as mentioned in other reviews but the front desk will give you earplugs for no charge. The rooms in the old wing are generally pretty worn out unfortunately. The newer ones with kitchenettes are WAY better with updated bathrooms and more modern overall. I wish all of the rooms around the hotel would be renovated like these. Tried breakfast here for the first time and it was decent and what I expect out of any other Hilton-branded property. The front desk is always nice enough and accommodating when arriving late. Overall, it has been a fine property every time we've visited.
Large hotel with the same amenities as an Hampton inn but it'll cost you. Rooms are exactly like Hampton inn and the only reason I compare them is because Double Tree wants to look fancier with a large lobby, bar, and restaurant which is good for dinner. But at the end of the day the room was very normal with the shower tub, liquid soap, and good enough bed and pillows. The AC is central and quite but does not cool the room sufficiently. Mine was set at 78 and took 6 hours to get to 71 where it stayed after setting it to 65. Could be problem if you're a hot sleeper. The breakfast was subpar for $18. The breakfast was like any free one at Hampton inn or Holiday inn express but it cost me. The weird scrambled eggs, sausage patties and toast. They added pieces of melon and cottage cheese which is what I guess I payed for. Parking is in a parking garage ,because it's central, for $12 a night or Valet. Good: restaurants and coffee houses nearby. Good bar/dinner restaurant inside.
