We stayed four nights. I actually reserved a room with a view. That didn't even happen. We had a view of office windows and a ladder. The room was very clean. The carpet was very old and worn. Our door looked like it had been pried open, it was actually warped! The room smelled like mildew but we didn't have any respiratory issues(yet). There isn't microwaves in Hilton rooms now. The guy that replaced our refrigerator that wasn't working was very nice. The housekeeping staff was very nice. The restaurant/bar staff were great. The front desk people were friendly. I did have some trouble getting a luggage cart when trying to leave. The guy that helped me find one seemed irritated, I thanked him and smiled but I guess it was just too much. Be staying somewhere else next time.
Room is musty - from the A/C unit. Halls and common facilities are a bit tired. The gym is decent, but the A/C doesn’t work. There are no fans or ventilation. It’s hard to even work out here. Restaurant food was fine. Service was a bit slow. Place needs some management attention in a bunch of areas. Too bad because it has a lot of potential and is in a great location.
Water in your room is $3.00 a bottle. Oh, when looking for the coffee pot, go to the lower shelf below the TV. It will be in the back. Not convenient at all, literally makes no sense for guests Poor Form management My wife, when we got into our room started sneezing and coughing due to what she said was a pungent chemical smell. Disappointing! Elevators went out. One of our group was even trapped in the elevator + claustrophobic. Finally able to get one elevator working. Just as a thought ..may want to consider FIXING and maintaining the elevators especially so guests can get out as/if necessary Some of us are handicapped, What a potential liability. Again, poor form management. Just as a thought, maybe put staff out to direct guests with respect to the elevators, if this happens frequently, put signs out, but make the guest aware. Have a plan for those with limited mobility. Risk Management 101. The restaurant was great, the food was excellent and the wait staff was excellent as well. Even though reviews showed room a/c was out for some people, ours worked very well. Overall could have been a way better experience, especially for the expensive price per room that was paid.
