This hotel is in such a great location - right on the Niagara River, only a 15-20 min walk (along the river - beautiful) to the Falls, 5 min by car - that it could be much less nice and still be worth it. Its actually a terrific hotel - very clean, nice amenities in the rooms and a very friendly staff. Also a very nice indoor pool - very clean, plenty of towels available. I highly recommend a river view room if you can get one. We were on the top floor, and the river is so close that it looks like you are on a cruise - the river fills the entire window. Highly recommend!
The room is not worth the price $300. The furniture is extremely old and outdated, to the point that it actually made us feel uncomfortable and uneasy. On the positive side, the room was cleaned well, and the housekeeping team deserves credit for that. However, the overall experience was disappointing. At breakfast, the staff were cold and unwelcoming—no one greeted us or acknowledged us, making the experience feel awkward and uninviting. Definitely not the level of service expected at this price point. By the way,Free parking is a good touch.
Really disappointing experience. The rooms were very outdated but beyond that the couch was stained and overall the room felt musty. The thermostat was locked to not go below 68 but it was still quite hot. The cabinets in my room were broken and hanging by a thread and the refrigerator located inside of the broken cabinets did not get cold. I'm easy going and could look past all of this, but I paid for a suite with a tub specifically because of the long hours I'd be working on this work trip. Upon check in, the tub did not work and I was awoken multiple times per night with the "self cleaning" feature from the jets. It was so loud it's insane and there was no way to turn it off. Odd that this happened when the jets nor lights even worked. I reported this and maintenance came up and tracked dirty mud boots all over the bathroom and inside the tub. They advertise that housekeeping comes each day and I specifically requested it 3 times. Housekeeping did not come once for the entirety of my stay so I just lived with dirty work boots all over and zero housekeeping. Overall, extremely disappointing and I will not be back. I was offered 5k points but feel this is not acceptable due to the amount that was paid and the price I paid for amenities I could not use. A huge miss here and it's a shame for an executive suite room.
