DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland

Needs some work. Our room was big and spacious, but clearly not designed to be a single room. The bathroom was incredibly small and hard to navigate with 3 people. The beds were very comfortable and everything worked fine. But the room smelled like cannabis everyday and the wait staff (mostly) seemed stressed, distracted, and unhappy.

I am beyond mad. The only thing this place has going for it is Kevin night audit and fd staff. The bar staff were sweet also. But cleanliness yeah right bring your own cleaning supplies, while you are at it being your own sheets too. I am beyond disappointed and mad. If I could rooms would get a zero. I am so disgusted is this truly a Hilton property? It is more like what I expect from a run down motel. Location is convenient. But no blackout curtains in my room so no sleeping in beyond sunrise. Just another negative.

I arrived to the hotel late about 10pm. Checked in and want to go right asleep because I had to be up at 5:30am. The a/c was off it was 80 degrees in the room. It took 4 hours for the room to cool down to a comfortable temperature. I expect being a diamond member checking into an executive king suite that the air conditioning to be on and at a comfortable setting. Absolutely unacceptable. I’m glad this was a business trip because I would never spend my hard earned money on Hilton properties.
