DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Salt Lake City Airport

My 1 night stay was actually really good despite the few reviews I read prior to making my reservation. As I walked into the lobby I was greeted and immediately checked in. Steven I believe was the gentleman who thanked me for being a Platinum Member. Gave me a verbal tour of the hotel and restaurants and a complementary Chocolate Chip Cookie. My room was clean and comfortable. The shower pressure was good and the bed and pillows was just to my comfort. I went to the fitness center which had plenty of machines and weights to get a great workout and having the Starbucks on site was a real treat. When in town I will return to this hotel as the customer service is done on a high level. Thanks for making my stay a great one.

My one-weeknight stay in a King bedroom with a pool-view balcony was generally pleasant. The room was notably spacious and included all the typical amenities one expects, such as a mini-fridge and a safe. It's worth noting, however, that there was no microwave. This hotel appears to be an older property that has undergone renovations. While there are fresh touches like new paint, wallpaper, carpet, and furniture, these seem to be more quick refreshes than deep overhauls. The bed, which consisted of just a mattress on a flat wooden baseboard, was quite stiff. On the positive side, the hotel's staffing and overall grounds were impressive – very nice and well-kept. The surrounding area is beautifully landscaped, making it ideal for relaxing evening walks.

Got off a long shift at work. Was so looking forward to a bath. But the moment I arrived, I was solicited to about some revival I had no interest in. I can't believe they let all their guests get harangued at the door before they even checked in! There wasn't a tub in my room. The only real reason I wanted a room in the first place. If you decide to bring your own water and not pay for their 3 dollar ones that are left out at room temperature, don't expect their little fridge to get anything cold, either. I'm not used to paying so much for such an uncomfortable and disappointing experience.
