DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Savannah Historic District

Good location to seeing Savannah. Hop on and hop off trolley has a stop right next door. Parking is valet and can be expensive for multiple nights- there is a parking garage near by. Room was spacious- there is AC was a bit loud and would turn on and off constantly at night- so the noise could keep you awake. The people who work at Doubletree- were all so nice and so helpful. Just wonderful staff.

We had an awesome one night stay at the DoubleTree this past Saturday. The front desk staff was so friendly, and always smiling. The bar staff was equally great, with great cocktails. The room was very spacious, and the bed and pillows really comfortable. The shower pressure was great, and the views really nice. The only negative aspect would be the outrageous parking fees ($55/SUV) for the evening. But besides that, an awesome stay!

We stayed two nights here. 1. We arrived to 45.00 a night valet parking. The only parking at the hotel. Hilton site was down so digital check in wasn't available. 2. Street noise was horrible. Loud cars and trucks late into the night/early morning. 3. AC was extremely loud. We did not sleep during our stay. 4. Elevators were out. No notice or updates just figure out the maze of the stairwell. 5. At midnight there was an alarm going off. I called the front desk. She didn't know what the alarm was just working on it. Cleanliness left much to be desired in the bathroom. Location proximity to River St is great. We will never stay here again.
