**Fantastic Stay in Downtown Houston – Outstanding Service from Michael at Guest Services!** This was a **wonderful hotel experience** right in the heart of **downtown Houston**. From the moment we arrived, **Michael at guest services** went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Not only was he incredibly friendly, but he also surprised us with **a generous supply of cookies**—a sweet touch that set the tone for our stay! Michael also shared some great local recommendations within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city without needing to drive. His **customer service was truly 10/10**—friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. While we had our own vehicle, we found that **many top Houston attractions are just minutes away by foot**, including: * 🌊 **Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park** – 10-minute walk * 🛍️ **The Galleria Mall** – 5-minute walk * 🌿 **Houston Conservancy** – 3-minute walk * ☕ And yes, there are **Starbucks locations everywhere** for your caffeine fix! Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, this hotel offers both convenience and exceptional hospitality. Highly recommend staying here—and don’t forget to say hi to Michael!

First, the not so good, which is parking. The lot is too small for the hotel, it was completely full both nights and is takes a walk through the heat to get into the actual hotel. Second not so good is the ice situation. One machine in a 26 for hotel is incredibly inconvenient, especially when you don't know. Walked four floors before asking someone. Now, the good, EVERY staff member was very nice and cordial, even the battery who was stressed and overworked, and the front desk staff who had consistent long lines. Next, the location is absolutely perfect. Plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment options. Balconies provided great vantage points to the entire city. Overall, this is a great hotel.

Disappointing Experience needs Major Improvement Our experience at this property was far from great. The valet parking was extremely unorganized despite paying for the service, we ended up walking to retrieve our own vehicle most of the time. On our first night, we found a dead roach in our room. Even after housekeeping supposedly cleaned the room the next day, the roach was still there. That was very unsettling. To make matters worse, the elevators stopped working during our stay, and management made no effort to communicate with guests or address concerns. The overall attitude and knowledge of the staff left much to be desired — kindness and basic customer service were lacking. I would not recommend staying here unless they make serious improvements to their staffing, customer service, and property cleanliness.
