DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria

We really enjoyed our three night stay at the DoubleTree. We thought the room was beautiful and very clean. We lucked out and seemed to have got larger room than normal which was incredible. It is in a great area of town right near the harbour front but not so close to it that you get all of the noise. The valet was great as well. The front desk gave us some great recommendations for food, etc.

Visited on a mother/daughter trip in June 2025. I found the service to be excellent. The rooms were very clean so a particular shout out to the cleaning staff. Location was excellent. Reception was also excellent. Valet service was top notch. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Just stayed here for 2 nights and am extremely disappointed, especially given the exorbitant price (over $500 CAD for a single night). Yes, the location is central, there’s valet parking ($30/day), a Smart TV, and Starbucks downstairs — but that’s where the positives end. Now the negatives: • CONSTRUCTION, CONSTRUCTION, CONSTRUCTION right beside the hotel. Non-stop noise. • No visible valet staff when we arrived — not helpful or welcoming. • No pool. • Lobby is unimpressive and feels dated. • Rooms are tiny, bathrooms are even smaller — barely any space to move. • Toilet seats aren’t soft close, so every drop is a loud slam. • Terrible shower design: to turn it on, you have to reach into the glass-enclosed shower, which soaks you in cold water. • Asked for a room change due to noise and space issues — was immediately dismissed without even checking availability. No effort made. • Poor AC system — no option to set fan to “High,” just “Low” or “Auto.” Room stayed warm and stuffy. For the price, this place does not deliver. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Hilton name or not — this is a miss.
