DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Wichita Airport

I actually prefer the Double Tree in Wichita over the Hampton Inn, personally the bleach used on the sheets during our stays at the Hampton have been overwhelming , but at least it’s clean there too! I loved the dining options available, very close to the airport with shuttle service available typically within 10-15 min after requested. I definitely would stay again.

Beautiful place, surprisingly quiet for being so close to the airport. I unfortunately didn't get to see the pool area or any other facilities they provide. However the hotel needs to get elevator #2 in the south tower fixed. It makes some really strange noises and gets stuck between floors. The restaurant in the hotel lobby is really expensive and the food wasn't that good. All in all a good place to stay.

Normally DT is a great place to stay... But not this location. When I made my reservation, I was given a rate for my room. When I checked in, I was told that rate was not available. When I asked why I was given incorrect information over the phone, the desk clerk just shrugged and repeated that that rate was not available and just stared at me. Customer service is non-existent these days. The room was clean except for the black mold spawning above the shower. I nearly went through the entire box of Kleenex. Great location if you're flying out in the wee hours, but definitely not worth the price!
