Doubletree by Hilton Houston Hobby Airport

An early morning flight was canceled and left us stranded at the airport at 5:00am. They were able to get us a a shuttle to the hotel, a clean room and checked in by 6:30am. Was able to get some rest, food in the restaurant was very good, spent sometime in the clean pool and back to the room for a great sleep before leaving out by their shuttle again for another early morning flight.

It was okay for the moment!! They need to stop being cheap with the pens 🖊 🙄 at the desk !! 😒 I guess since they give warm cookies they feel they need to give anything else ??? They need to remember no one stays there for free ?? And Hospitality should be their main priority??? Huhhh a pen !! Never been to a Hotel who was worried about giving pens 🖊 to staying !paying patrons at the desk ???

The reason I am giving it two stars is the smell on the carpet was bad. It smelled old and penetraded. Musty and humid. The air in the room was heavy musty. I had trouble breathing in there. Had booked for two nights only stayed for one. We wore on the third floor even the ventilation was off. You could tell when you wore in the first floor it was nice and cool once you would get to the 3 floor you could feel the difference. It was hotter. The ducts must be replace probably they still have the original ones from the hotel when it was build. Pretty old. If you have sensitive lungs do not stay here.
