Exceptional Service That Made Our Stay Truly Memorable During a time of transition for my son and me as we were moving into a new home, we had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Overland Park, Kansas. What could have been a stressful period turned into a truly comforting and positive experience, all thanks to Sabrina, the Assistant Front Desk Manager. From the moment we checked in, Sabrina went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and cared for. She was not only professional and attentive, but also incredibly warm and kind. Her consistent efforts to meet our needs and check in on us made a lasting impression. It was clear that she genuinely cares about the well-being of guests—not just us, but everyone she encountered. We observed her assisting other guests with the same level of care and attention, always with a smile and a positive attitude. Sabrina exemplifies what real customer service should look like. She is a shining example of excellence, consistency, and compassion in hospitality. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated and sincere in their role, and she truly made our stay feel like more than just a stop on a journey—it felt like a safe, welcoming space during a time of change. Hilton represents an image that the brand has above average quality control as it relates to all levels of hospitality. Welcoming service was outstanding with the warm chocolate chip cookie that melts in your mouth. As a Diamond member I would suggest a few of the honors spots be reserved for Diamond Members realizing there is a plethora of parking spaces where a few concessions could be made that would allow Diamond Members to park closer to the entrance. As a smoke free environment there are literally numerous smokers standing at the front entrance when there is a large training session. Is it possible for management to consider a smoke gazebo away from the main entrance? The other is quality control for housekeeping making sure their task list includes checking the lamps in all rooms of the junior suites as functional— as a night reader — I use the table lamps in the suites and both were none functioning. A Hugh plus is the stand up shower with a moving shower head with good hot water pressure. However, I cannot say the same for the toilet— water pressure was very low stopping up the toilet causing it to overflow— the plumber arrived and maid service a short time later to clean up the mess - yet the water ran on to the carpet from the bathroom and the mildew smell was intoxicating. Stepping on wet carpet all night while trying to enter the bathroom— that has not been sanitized due to the overflow of the toilet — is not ideal. Towels needed to be laid down until the carpet dries or some other housekeeping solution like suctioning away the water. Of course the help was very courteous, but my problem was not a complete resolution to the unsanitary situation.

Hotel is ok, the wifi is glitchy so I didn't have a wifi for the entire time I was here, I was told a tech would come to my room to see what the issue is and never happened The Starbucks price is inflated here, compare to other locations. And the restaurant was expecting a tip on the free breakfast The room lied about the bottle water, it states that diamond and gold get a free water bottle, the room I registered under my company is gold, and then they charged $5.50 for the bottle of water Other then that, everything else was ok, parking is easy, overall service was good, room is clean and nice. Check in and out was fast and easy
