Everything on the menu was overpriced compared to what was served. Why would a piece of apple pie cost €14,50? A normal hamburger €31,50? The service was great! Thank you Zakaria and colleagues :) The pool was never 30°C as was stated on the website, it was always colder. Breakfast was poor in choices for a 4* hotel and too crowded for the amount of people having it. The place for breakfast was too small. Everything kept being refilled though. The staff is friendly.
Decent Stay, But Not Impressive I had expected a bit more from a Hilton property, especially for the price. The lobby and exterior looked nice, but the rooms felt outdated. Staff was polite but not very responsive. The location is peaceful, but it’s not very central, so be prepared for some travel. It wasn’t a bad experience, just not memorable enough to return. Average at best.
It’s now been over five weeks since the Hilton Luxembourg acknowledged the unacceptable conditions during our stay and promised a refund. None of the three rooms have been refunded, despite the hotel issuing a formal letter confirming that a full refund was appropriate. We stayed during a period of extreme heat, and none of the three rooms we booked had working air conditioning. The rooms were unbearably hot, making sleep impossible. Staff admitted the issue at the time and agreed that a refund was appropriate. To make matters worse, no drinking water was provided in the rooms. When we requested water at reception, we were told they couldn’t provide any because it would "affect their audit" — an absurd and callous response, especially given the heat and the lack of AC. For a hotel operating under the Hilton name, this level of service is absolutely unacceptable. Faulty facilities, refusal to meet basic guest needs, and now five weeks of silence after a failed promise of refund. I urge future guests to think twice before booking here. And I strongly advise Hilton management to take a hard look at the standards being maintained at this location — both operationally and ethically.
