Doubletree by Hilton McLean Tysons

A long distance friend and I met up here recently and had a wonderful stay. They are pet friendly, which allowed my friend to bring the dog she is fostering. The staff was kind and helpful; Paolo gets all the flowers, especially, as they were transitioning to an updated system and still learning it, he was great at explaining any delays (though they were minimal, and we did not mind the slightest).

Went to see a great concert at the wolf trap and stayed here. It was wonderful, clean, spacious and an awesome staff. The manager and bar tender where great with some extra drunk loud people in the bar that were being extremely rude. They did it professionally and then the whole bar enjoyd there evening. I will return to this great hotel with wonderful staff. Front desk staff and housekeeping were both wonderful.

The hotel itself is old, and you can tell where most of the renovation budget was spent. The beds are nice, the carpets look a little dingy, and the night agents are great unless you ask for something. After a 6 hour drive, we got to the hotel at 3am. I wanted a bottle of water, but they were out. I wanted a shower, but the hot water was out. I wanted a muffin the next morning, but they only have a restaurant that charges extra for breakfast. 😕 Correction - the hot water wasn't out, you just have to leave it on for a very long time to heat up.
