Doubletree by Hilton Melaka

Great two-night stay in a junior suite with family at this hotel. Service staff were tip-top, testament to their dedication and excellent training. Breakfast buffet spread at Makan Kitchen was generous and despite its popularity they managed the crowds very well. We were lucky to get a high floor room and managed to see fireworks at night. The location is further away from town but very easy to get a ride hail (we did not drive). It's perfect for travellers seeking a quieter and calmer stay for relaxation, and there is also a well maintained gym and swimming pool.

Whether I was starting the day with a hearty meal or winding down by the pool, every moment felt relaxing and well-catered for. Location-wise, it's perfectly placed to explore Melaka’s vibrant heritage sites while offering the peacefulness of a retreat away from the busiest parts of town. I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka and overall had a very pleasant experience. From check-in to check-out, the service was courteous and efficient. The famous warm cookie at arrival is always a nice touch that makes you feel genuinely welcomed. The room was clean, spacious, and located on a high floor with a satisfying city view. It was well-equipped and comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a long day of activities around Melaka. While I was hoping for a beach or sea view, the cityscape still offered a beautiful perspective, especially at night. The hotel layout is slightly unconventional. The Ground Floor is labeled 'G', the parking is on Level 5-7, and the main Lobby is on Level 12. It took a bit of getting used to at first, but it’s manageable once you're oriented. Facilities are excellent — from the swimming pool to the dining areas, everything is well-maintained and clean. The staff were attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. In summary, DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka delivers on comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality. With a few small tweaks (like view preferences or clearer signage), it would easily be a 5-star experience. Highly recommended for both leisure and business stays.
