Doubletree by Hilton Milan Malpensa Solbiate Olona

As one of the only Hilton hotels in the area with close proximity to Malpensa airport, this is a pretty good option if you have an early flight and don't want to make an early morning trek from the city center. The hotel itself (room, lobby, and bar) is really nice; it meets the standards for the Hilton brand at the Doubletree level. Our room (a king bed) was spacious by European standards and had all the expected features. The staff was delightful and welcoming, and they offer a free shuttle service to the airport; you just need to reserve your seat in advance. My only criticism is the restaurant; the food is absolutely awful and overpriced for that "awfulness." We had two pasta dishes that were laughably inauthentic and flavorless, a strange way to end a trip in Italy marked by spectacular meals. Unfortunately, aside from the golf course across the street, there really is no other dining option without using a car service. Be mindful and prepared for that reality, but otherwise, a nice hotel and a great option for the night before your flight.

Lovely stay in a cozy area! The hotel is located in a very cozy, quiet area — perfect for relaxing. The service was excellent, and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. We happened to visit on Cabin Crew Day, and they surprised us with a huge cake and drinks! Such a thoughtful touch. We really loved our stay and would definitely come back!

The hotel is well-located near Malpensa Airport and offers an on atmosphere. The staff was friendly and courteous. However, the air conditioning was a major drawback. It was virtually nonexistent in both the rooms and common areas, which made our stay quite uncomfortable during the summer heat. We stayed from June 27 to 28, 2025, and the lack of cooling was noticeable. Unless the air conditioning issue is addressed, I would not recommend staying here during the warmer months. The hotel site claims to offer a free shuttle from Malpensa Airport, it is free indeed but a total mess. You need to book in advance and actually that doesn't work. Our driver knew that we were going to departures but he didn't care and dropped us in arrivals just because he was getting another traveler. Very bad logistics.
