I recently stayed at the DoubleTree New Orleans Canal Street for a quick work trip, and overall, it was a solid experience. The location is great, right on Canal Street and just steps from Caesars Palace Casino, which made it really convenient to get around. A big shoutout to Katelyn at the front desk. She was so nice and friendly, and made check-in smooth and welcoming. That kind of service really sets the tone for a stay. The room product is fine for what it is. I wasn’t expecting luxury, and this isn’t that kind of hotel, but it worked perfectly well for a few days in town for work. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and pleasant, and that made all the difference. I’d definitely consider staying here again on a future trip.
Great location and amazing customer service. Katelyn provided the most amazing customer service throughout my family reunion weekend! Kudos to her!! With regard to the rooms … they are very dated! The drawers were broken and dated and the pool was out of commission.
Loved the location, right off Canal Street, next door to Ceasars for the gamblers. Stuff was friendly, best free cookies at check-in, but you can ask for them anytime and they will give you one. We were in room. 713, very end. When I first opened the door, you got that damp smell. Beds and pillows were great for me, very soft pillows. The bathroom was small but functional, and it was also clean. The shower was a walk in and not a tub, which I appreciated. My view from the one large window was of a corner of Canal Street looking some what downtown. G Overall, I liked that I could walk to many restaurants, the streetcar line was right outside, the Aquarium and Mississippi River were maybe an 8- 10 min walk. I enjoyed my stay here. They had one of the best cheese burgers and fries at their restaurant, but the salad with red fish was not something I would reorder.
