Location is IDEAL!! Free shuttles were so very amazing and the two drivers Anthony and Homer (?) went above and beyond. Donna is THE BEST she is so helpful, could not say more amazing things about her! Hotel could use some refreshing and ice machine signs need to be upgraded, other than those small details this hotel felt safe, comforting and overall process was easy. I felt well taken care of, would definitely recommend ESPECIALLY if you are flying out or into LGA.
LaGuardia Plaza Hotel is a solid option if you need a place close to LaGuardia Airport. There’s a convenient shuttle that runs regularly between the airport and the hotel, so you don’t need to call ahead to request it, which makes things simple. I was only here for a short overnight stay before catching a flight the next morning, but everything met my expectations. The room was clean, the pillows were comfortable, and I had no complaints about the space. I didn’t have time to check out the gym, but I did have breakfast at the restaurant. The buffet was $25 and included all the standard hotel breakfast items. Everything was hot, fresh, and well-prepared, so I left satisfied. Overall, I’d recommend LaGuardia Plaza Hotel for a quick and convenient overnight stay if you’re flying in or out of LaGuardia.
I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt like I had to after this stay. The room itself was nice, but there was still trash left in the bin from the previous guest, which was pretty gross. I didn’t even bother bringing it up to the front desk because every interaction we had with them was so unpleasant. Throughout our stay, we had a few simple questions, and every time we asked, the front desk staff came off as rude or just completely uninterested in helping. When I asked about a possible room upgrade, the person didn’t even check—just said, “No, there’s no room.” When I asked about parking, I was told, “Did you read the sign?” in a tone that felt really unnecessary. I’ve never had this kind of experience at a hotel before, especially not at a DoubleTree. I really hope management sees this and reconsiders how the front desk team is being trained, because it made the entire stay feel unwelcoming.
