DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston Convention Center

This is one of the nicer hotels I’ve stayed at. The service is top notch. The ladies at the front desk are quick, very professional, and provide a high quality of service. The rooms were very clean and had a nice modern look. My bed was very comfortable and my sheets were soft. The TV had multiple apps, functioned well, and had good volume. Temperature control in the room was very responsive. I’m a bigger guy at 6’6 so I’m always concerned about the shower, but it was very spacious even for me. Bathroom was very clean and with good water pressure. The fridge in my room worked well and was at a good temperature. I did not try the bar or restaurant so I’m unable to comment on its quality, but it was full each evening so it has it has to be preforming well. I would highly recommend this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay

I enjoyed my stay. The only thing I didn't like was no free breakfast. If you want to eat breakfast, they will charge $20 per person for a breakfast buffet. Which is crazy, but otherwise it was great. I loved the location, it was near plenty of stores, food places, and near downtown areas. It was great!! I really had a wonderful time down there.

This hotel has seen better days. the bathroom floors in my room are dirty, the bathroom mirror light is only half working and the shower leaks and is rotting the wooded door frame. On top of all of this, the credit card that used at check in at the front desk was hacked by someone at the front desk and bogus charges have been racked up on that card. I know this for certain because I rarely use that card and hadn't used it for weeks. All was good till I used it at this hotel. The only good thing I can say is that it is close to the meetings I'm attending.
