DoubleTree by Hilton Raleigh Crabtree Valley

The hotel has easy access to the highway, near shopping centers, and some eateries. There is currently construction at this location, so finding parking at night is terrible. Many of us had to park on the side of the restaurant, damn near at the entrance of the hotel. My room was clean and so was the hotel. The iron holder in the closet fell (not properly installed) and the elevator can take forever.

I booked this hotel two months in advance and I booked this one specifically because the site said it had a pool, we arrived and was told the hotel decided to close the pool two weeks ago, no one sent out an email informing us of this change, if they would have we would have certainly canceled and booked elsewhere, I asked why was it still showing on the website and was told it should be updated now (uggggh)…we had children with us that was looking forward to that. The rooms didn’t have a microwave which was surprising to me as well, there was a stench of a rotting mouse in the hall towards the gym. Literally the only thing that made our stay here pleasant was the staff, they were amazing, very friendly and greeted everyone with a smile oh and the gym equipment was nice.

The hotel is fine, however they have farmed out their restaurant and their lobby food, and can't comp even their lifetime diamond members their appropriate room credit towards lobby purchases, and the restaurant has limited hours. If you are a Hilton honors member I'd recommend trying a different property to get your actual benefits. One star and will stay elsewhere next time
