Where do I begin? DoubleTree by Hilton Rome Monti is THE BEST. While in Rome, stay at Hilton! So for my Italy work trip, I avoided American hotels on purpose. I was looking for a unique experience that wouldn't feel like home. I wanted to be surrounded by Italian people, culture, food and language. I wanted to get outside of my comfort zone--except for when I hit Rome. Rome is HUGE, magnificent, majestic and overwhelming. So as a woman solo traveler, this was a city I needed to not have to think or learn anything but how to get from Rome hotel to [fill in the destination]. I don't speak Italian, not even a little bit, so I knew, I just needed an American property to make it easy on my. And yes they can! DoubleTree did not disappoint me not one single bit. Safe, comfort, smiles, ease of check in, fast, ready, English and eager to help me get it all together. 24/7 staffing. Security at the door. #1 important for me traveling solo. Room: Super clean, super quiet, perfection. Everything I requested - no elevator noise nearby, quiet, light - was granted. Complimentary mineral water. King size bed - always my preference. Sink in for great sleep mattress, quality sheets, various pillow experiences, sunshine, windows that open. (I love Italy. All the windows open in hotels. They don't allow that in most hotels in the US.) Bathroom - Large, clean, equipped. Plenty of towels. Super hot water. Great pressure. Dramatic lighting. Floors: Clean, smooth, nice to walk on. I love a clean, barefoot walkable floor in a hotel! Smoking: Not a single wiff of cigarette smell in this hotel. Love that! Soundproofed: I couldn't hear a thing inside my room. I had neighbors, not a peep! Staff: Very attentive and patient. Will help you with literally whatever you need: Taxi? Done. Reservations? Done. Directions? Done. Recommendations? Done. Need laundry washed (but don't want to pay $15 for a tshirt? Done. (they helped me locate a laundry). Safety: As a woman solo traveler, in a city/country for the first time, this hotel was very comfortable for me. I would relax from the moment I stepped from the street to inside the hotel. Highly recommend. Worth the cost.

We stayed here before leaving for a cruise and also walked around to see the old Rome sightseeing. Great location and a very very nice hotel. We had a great stay especially recommend the rooftop bar. My only complaint was the tiny thermostat in the room and bad controls. It is like trying to adjust the air conditioning in the dark on the tiniest apple watch. And it took a while for the air conditioner to catch up.

Excellent clean modern hotel in a great area. Stayed there 4 nights in July 2025, was given a complimentary upgrade to a king size bed. I recommend this hotel because its walking distance to all the major attractions. The only thing i wish they offered was water in the lobby, especially since its so hot in the summer and many people are arriving from their planes and trains tired and thirsty. Otherwise excellent and keep up the good work
