DoubleTree by Hilton Sarasota Bradenton Airport

Stayed 7 nights 8 days for vacation. Great staff especially Mark at front desk and all hotel cleaning crew and maintenance. Incredibley nice❣️ Shout out to the staff working the Restaurant/Bar as well. Very clean, quiet and relaxing. Close to EVERYTHING!! 💙🤍💙🤍 So don't hate and appreciate all these great things at this hotel!!

Good stay, but it is more like a 3.5* hotel. The property as a whole is not up to what you would expect from a 4* Hilton. The lobby was maybe a 3.5*, rooms a 3-3.5 *, pool & parking lot was a 2*. Evening front desk staff was friendly & accommodating; front desk lady during the day was not all that friendly/welcoming. No airport noise even though I could see the runway from my room. Hallelujah, the room doors were quiet! Rooms were clean with a decent-sized mini fridge, no microwave; there is a microwave in the lobby. Bedding & linens were good, although the mattress had a slight dip on one side. Bathroom was clean and updated, but lighting was a bit dim for doing makeup. The blackout curtains were about 6 inches too short which was strange. See pic. The wall thermostat in my room didn’t work well. This is the third time I’ve had a faulty thermostat at a Hilton. Maintenance came promptly & said the “sensor had fallen,” but didn’t test the fix. I pointed out the issue remained, and he told me to use the manual thermostat on the wall unit instead. This worked, but the temperature wasn’t accurate, so regulating it was a little inconvenient. The pool area was clean but was dated- think something out of a 90s McDonald’s. Water was warm & there were some damaged tiles; the hot tub was more of a warm tub. The outdoor pool area has a lot of potential but food & drinks aren’t allowed to really enjoy it. The parking lot could use some maintenance & fire ant treatment. I did get bit. All in all it was a decent stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Stayed at this hotel one night in May 2025. I am woken up by someone entering my hotel room!!!!! The person had a duplicate card (I heard them scan), unlocked the door, and entered. The only thing that stoped them was that I put the security lever (I don’t know the exact name of the security device…see an Amazon photo below) on the door before going to bed. The person entered with such force that it made a loud sound. I called the front desk and they did not take the issue seriously. The young lady said “maybe it was maintenance.” Are you kidding? At 8:36AM???? She said nothing with a sense of urgency. Hey lady! Someone broke into my room with a duplicate key. Who made this person a duplicate key of our room??? We proceeded to leave and heard someone arguing and screaming at someone else. You could hear it from the elevator bank. It was the front desk staff!!!! A lady was screaming at another staff member. I’m asking the check out while this lady is screaming at the top of her lungs at another staff member. Horrible experience! Poor security! Terrible staff! This stay will give me nightmares every time I stay at a hotel from now on.
