My husband and I had a weekend stay and we truly enjoyed this hotel. The staff was very professional and accommodating. As guest we must understand staff are humans too and must treat people with respect. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were heard and answered our questions. I want to shout out a new member of their crew Tiffany who kept us communicated in regards to an inquiry we had during our stay. Although we didn’t attend an event there we were able to see the preparation for 2 weddings during which the set up looked fabulous. We were about 25minutes from Ashbury Park which was close enough for us to drive to the beaches and restaurants coming from NYC. Lastly want to highlight the kitchen crew because the breakfast was delicious. My only recommendation would be to keep the coffee throughout the day because it was a good cup of Joe! I would recommend this hotel and am considering for future stays.
We booked the DoubleTree by Hilton Tinton Falls – Eatontown solely because they promised us — repeatedly and in writing — that their bar would be open for our wedding after-party. This was not a full weekend stay or general convenience — we chose this hotel specifically for that one purpose. Otherwise, we would have gone with closer and less expensive options. Instead, after incurring over $2,500 in additional transportation costs to get guests back and forth from this specific hotel, we arrived expecting to celebrate — only to find the bar completely closed. The front desk staff had no idea we were even supposed to be there. It was an embarrassing and frustrating experience for us and our guests, and it completely undermined a special part of our wedding night. The worst part? This promise was made specifically to secure our booking, and it was simply false. Since then, the hotel has been extremely difficult to work with and has offered only token remedies that don’t come close to making things right. This was a major disappointment and ruined a key part of our wedding plans. We cannot recommend this hotel to anyone planning an event or relying on their word. What was promised was not delivered, and we were left to deal with the consequences.
Wish I could’ve stayed but unfortunately while booking on their website there was a huge error! My husband kept trying to book for a couple nights in July, but the date kept reverting to the same night he was booking. This felt very fraudulent and dishonest since it was non-refundable. Why would anyone book a room the same night at 9:30pm? Within 5-10 minutes of getting the confirmation email and noticing the mistake he called to simply switch the dates. We were told they wouldn’t work with us. They had rooms available for the dates we needed, we didn’t mind paying more for the correct dates, but they refused to work with us. They refused to let us speak to manager and they actually hung up on us 3 Times. Completely rude and unprofessional customer service! Accidents happen, although it felt very intentional when he put the right dates in and they were changed automatically to the same night! Now we have a $200ish something charge we have to pay for a room we never enjoyed! (We are currently disputing with AMEX) Stay away from this shady hotel! They could’ve easily changed the date for us, they could’ve at least just charged us a cancellation fee, but nope their idea of customer service is to screw their customers and hang up but act like ‘I disconnected”! 000 STARS Edit: of course you couldn’t find anything in my name. I said MY HUSBAND! It was in his name! I do not have the wrong hotel, he just left his own review, so you will see that shortly. Funny enough: you aren’t even accredited with the BBB and you have a lot of 1 star reviews and complaints on their website too. People work too hard for their $ for you to just screw people out of it. You should be ashamed. And Hilton should be really ashamed to associate themselves with people like you. They are tainting their own name just by associating their name work your awful establishment! CROOKS. STAY AWAY!
