The Hotel Staff is super nice. The parking lot is big and has many empty spots. the hotel is convenient for the BoilerMaker road race 15k. When we arrived on Friday, I noticed I booked wrong a single King bed, but they allowed me and my friend to upgrade to a twin bed room free of charge. They took care of us😊😁🙏🙏. The interior is absolutely beautiful 1800s architecture and worth checking out.
One if the most beautiful & exquisite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I wish I had photos. I was in the area for a medical conference for cochlear implants on the deaf, that we did on medical missions years back. I plan to return. The staff was amazing, the rooms just beautiful, clean & luxurious. The cost of the room was very fair.
The front desk team was polite and helpful, with 24-hour check-in and quick responses by phone before my stay. They gave great breakfast advice and helped with printing documents. Very friendly overall. The location is central, the Wi-Fi is fast, and the lobby and restaurant areas are beautifully designed. However, the room had some issues: dust and hair on power outlets, an extremely soft bed, weak shower pressure, and missing basic toiletries like toothpaste. In-room amenities were minimal—empty mini fridge, limited coffee/tea, no pen or paper. I called the front desk for a pen and they said the room should have it, come down and you can get one. I was placed in a hearing-accessible room (the only one left when I booked), and despite letting staff know I didn’t need the alarm system, it was activated multiple times. One evening, it was buzzed while I was asleep—very loud, like a fire alarm—and when I opened the door, staff just asked if I needed anything. Noise was also an issue at times, with I assume kids running in the halls and a generator or compressor kicking in occasionally. I didn’t see any security during my five-day stay. My view was of a brick wall. The restaurant staff were kind, but the pub-style menu felt overpriced, and breakfast was a bit slow—seemed like only one staff member working. You may need to do more to attract locals. The gym is basic, especially in terms of strength equipment. Overall, it was a good experience. It’s suitable for a business stay. I’d rate it a high 3 or low 4 out of 5—small operational issues added up but staff friendliness was great.
