DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton

A very nice stay. Breakfast was excellent! We had a beautiful room that was very clean and well appointed. Quiet room, comfortable, cozy bed, and a great sleep. Breakfast offered an outstanding buffet with an incredible selection of the classics of crispy bacon, sausages, hash browns with or without peppers, and the baked beans with sautéed onions and peppers were delicious. The selection fresh fruit was remarkable. Gary was very warm and welcoming at the breakfast reception and our server, Lilibeth was friendly and efficient. A super breakfast experience. We will definitely return to the hotel on our next visit to Edmonton.

We spent 2 days during The Weeknd concert and enjoyed it a lot. Overall service was good, and breakfast was great for its price. And next time we are definitely coming here again. Room was clean with huge TV and perfectly soft mattress. No usb sockets though, better to bring an adapter. Or maybe I didn’t find it. There are a few in the TV but they do not charge well. However, it had one wireless charger on the alarm clock. Iron and table in the room. Overall very comfy and cozy. Lobby has a nice bar. 3 points of improvement: - No lock on the changing room lockers in the pool. Anyone can open closed locker. - We were informed that pool works 24/7, and were not informed about maintenance hours. Planned to swim in the late evening but it was closed due to maintenance and we ended up skipping it. - when we requested slippers only one pair was brought to us because the supervisor left a housekeeping office closed when left and other stocks were closed there till the next morning. It’s all very minor issues, and I highly recommend the hotel.

I will start by saying this hotel was unfortunately the worst part about our wedding weekend. The rooms were clean, the cleaning and restaurant staff were super friendly. However, the front desk and sales team were an absolute nightmare. They clearly do not communicate. We had originally booked one of their biggest suites, and two months later they phoned to tell me they could no longer give me that room because a hockey tournament was coming and families wanted that room. Which made me feel like my business was not as important. So already a sour note. After my parents went out there to represent me, the very upset bride, they had made all these promises and offered their next level down suite, which we realized would work just fine. They offered to comp a room, give us free breakfast, and a $100 voucher for dinner. Well, when we went to check in on the wedding weekend, none of this was documented. It took one of my bridesmaids going down SIX times to even get the $100 credit. We then went to check out at the end of the weekend and noticed none of the comped stuff was applied and we were even charged with “upgrade” fees. AN UPGRADE FOR WHAT?! We were not upgraded ANYTHING. After much back and forth with the front desk, we ended up leaving receiving none of what we were promised. We decided it wasn’t worth our breath anymore and wanted to end our wedding weekend not feeling like absolute scum. After this long review, my short message is that I would NOT recommend staying here, or be prepared for un answered promises.
