Here's a review for the DoubleTree by Hilton Whittier Los Angeles: DoubleTree by Hilton Whittier Los Angeles: A Fantastic Downtown Stay I recently had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Whittier Los Angeles, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The hotel boasts an amazing location in downtown Whittier, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a busy day. The hotel also offers excellent amenities. The gym is well-equipped, perfect for maintaining your fitness routine while traveling. Plus, the convenience of on-site parking lots made coming and going a breeze. As a 3-star hotel, it offers a great balance of comfort and value. I particularly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the on-site restaurant and bar, and the heated outdoor pool. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Whittier!
If you ever get a chance to stay at this Double Tree hotel and arrive in the evening. Ask for Monica. She has the greatest attitude and is willing to do what's needed to ensure you have a pleasant stay. She prepared fresh cookies and gave a fully detailed description of the hotel services as we had driven from Arizona. She also made a follow-up call to the room to ensure we were comfortable with our accommodations. Monica, thank you for all you did for us, and I'm sure you'll ensure future guests receive a warm welcome to the hotel.
I couldn't figure out why housekeeping kept closing the drain on the bathtub, and then I noticed the gnat's coming out of the drain. There's probably a better way of taking care of that. It's okay, but not the best example of a DoubleTree that I have stayed in. The patio rooms are not a quantifiable upgrade. I do not recommend them. The patios are slightly subterranean but can be walked up to from the outside and peered over into, like some children did while I was there. The hotel says they are private, but only for the guest staying in it. The guest can't see out, but others can walk up and look in. The storage trailer behind it was not that great to look at either.
