This property is pristine, spacious, very comfortable and flaunts a modern decor. The staff is attentive and friendly, and parking is plentiful. Conveniently located on Market Street. Although the pool wasn’t accessible due to a current upgrade, it looked amazing—resort vibes. IMO, the only demerit was their coffee set up. Not sure if this is now a “thing” but they have a “mini-Starbucks” on site so no self-serving your morning coffee in the lobby. We had to ask for the location of the complimentary coffee and you HAVE to go through the staff person to get coffee. I realize this is not a big thing, but I need coffee before I start jumping through hoops.
What a great hotel for the $200-250 range! The hotel looks new or recently renovated and has a great modern vibe. There’s an inviting bar area and a small Starbucks near the reception area that opens at 6 a.m. The only downside was that we had to pay for parking and this wasn’t clearly stated on Expedia. The hotel and bedrooms are very welcoming and decorated with taste. The bed is very comfortable as well as the beddings. The bathroom area is well designed with a tub and restroom that are apart from the bathroom sink which also offers a convenient small seating area to change as well as a space to hang your clothes. The personnel was very welcoming and seemed to genuinely care. We even received a warm cookie upon arrival. I stayed at Hilton hotels before but never at a Double tree. From now on, this will be my top choice for this price range. Highly recommend!
When we first checked in everything was great! Austin at the front desk was super kind and helpful in resolving our WiFi issues. The room was neat and clean. However when we woke in the morning to begin our departure process there was ZERO HOT WATER in our room. When we spoke to Kimberly at the front desk she offered no solutions other than waiting for a manager to arrive later to help us and then quickly went back to whatever it was she was doing on her phone. We had to leave then so waiting wasn’t an option for us.
