DoubleTree by Hilton Windsor Hotel and Suites

Absolutely loved our stay here! The hotel is pet-friendly, which made traveling with our dog so much easier and more enjoyable. The room was spotless, cozy, and well-maintained — a really comfortable place to relax. The view of the Detroit skyline across the river was absolutely stunning, especially at night — definitely a highlight of our trip. Front desk staff were super friendly and welcoming, and we even received complimentary cookies at check-in, which was such a thoughtful touch! The location is fantastic — right by the waterfront with beautiful walking paths, and close to downtown Windsor. Just a heads-up: parking is an extra $21, but overall, the experience was wonderful. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great hotel with friendly, helpful staff. We recently stayed here for a Detroit wedding. We were able to book an enough rooms together on a floor for 5 families. Room was very clean and well kept. Ours was a suite with a great, well appointed small kitchenette. Could use a toaster but still great. Coffee was a Nescafé machine - bring extra if you need a lot of coffee. Lobby machine was out of service. Decent coffee with a 5 minute walk. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy but mostly safe (it’s Canada). Restaurant options are a bit slim depending on the day/time. Excellent Mexican joint nearby (Hot Taco). Parking is pricey considering not much else around but the self directed options is your best bet with in & out privileges in a guarded parking garage attached to the hotel.

Amazing King suite rooms with a beautiful river view. Pet friendly! We loved being able to walk to dinner and come back to a quiet luxury room, and waking up to a beautiful view. Breakfast was great, the staff was so friendly and accommodating, and again, a great view while you eat breakfast. The gym and pool were clean and fabulous, with pelatons available to use. I wish we had more reasons to stay in Windsor, because I'd stay here again and again. I loved being able to walk my pup along the river trail that's miles long. It was overall a great stay! Will be back next time we are in Windsor!
