DoubleTree Hotel Baltimore BWI Airport

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree Airport Hotel in Maryland, and it exceeded my expectations for a three-star hotel. While this isn’t a five-star luxury resort, it’s honestly a great deal in this price range — and a great find if you’re looking for comfort and convenience near the airport. From the start, the staff was outstanding. Darcy, Shannell, and Joe were all incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. The shuttle driver was also so nice and helpful, making the whole experience feel personal and stress-free. One of the best perks is the complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport — it runs frequently and is very convenient. Plus, you can text the front desk if you need anything, and they respond quickly and efficiently, which was a huge plus. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I slept like a baby! While the bathrooms are a bit small and could benefit from more modern showers, the overall cleanliness made up for it. I also appreciated the complimentary late checkout. There’s an outdoor pool and even a basketball court, which is a nice bonus if you want to get a little fresh air. All in all, for the price point and what you get, this is probably the best deal you’ll find in the area. I would have given it a 10 if the bathrooms were a bit more updated, but because of the exceptional staff and overall experience, it’s an easy 9.5/10 for me. If you’re looking for a convenient, affordable, and friendly place to stay near the airport, this is the one. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel close to the airport. Arrived on a Saturday early morning around 2 am and it was busy. Had to wait in line to check in. Being close to the airport definitely gives them business for sure. Very clean hotel. Plenty of parking all around the hotel and easy to find. They do have a restaurant on site and a Bar. Breakfast is not included. You have to pay $18 for buffet style or a la carte which I thought was just crazy, especially at a hotel. Never heard of or seen that before. They do have what I call a "mini convenient store" frozen pizza, TV dinners, hot pockets, drinks, and mini meals you can purchase on your own and eat in case you do arrive late and need a quick bite. No microwaves in the room though so you will need to heat your food there if you need to. They do have a bar which is open 4 pm-11 pm Mon-Thur and 4 pm-12 am Fri-Sun. The receptionist was super friendly and efficient. The hotel room was very comfortable, clean, and updated with modern technology and a nice bathroom. We had a coffee made with a mini fridge. We had no complaints and wouldn't mind staying here again. The parking lot was safe and no incidents occurred during our stay.

The location was not bad. Yes, there's a drive to enjoy the city of Baltimore; however, it's not long. Within the first few minutes we noticed a roach scaling the walls. We were accommodated with a switch quickly but the new room was missing a microwave and the a/c was leaking into the carpet. The hotel definitely needs a technological upgrade and a renovated interior. We only had a reservation for a night so that was great. The value was good.
