Stayed here for July 4th weekend and it was perfect! The restaurant was great, convenient, and reasonable. The view was beautiful! I love that it’s pet friendly. The rooms were clean and the house keepers worked really hard. The pools were fun for my 2 yr old. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Our beach front view was lovely! The check-in, room service, and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, though very obviously outdated. We really liked having a fridge to store and make some food for us and our toddler throughout our stay. We did not realize how close the planes would be flying by and how loud that would be but thankfully, traffic slowed down overnight. It was easy to go from our room to the pools, beach access, the parking garage, etc. The tot pool unfortunately was so neglected with pieces of broken tiles all over the floor and in the water, a hazard for young ones playing in there. Other pool areas (we had access to the hotels next to this one) felt in much better and safer shape than the DoubleTree. We still really enjoyed our time there with family, and most of the issues for us revolved around the spaces not really being taken care of as well as they should. We used credit card points for our stay; if we had paid out of pocket, the rating would likely be lower.

Disappointing Stay-Not Worth the Price I really wanted to enjoy this resort, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations-especially at $375 a night. The location is somewhat convenient, but it comes with a major downside: constant, extremely loud noise from nearby planes and helicopters that makes it hard to even hold a conversation outdoors. This completely defeats the purpose of a relaxing beach vacation. The accommodations themselves are outdated, likely untouched since the '80s or '90s. The room layout was strange, with the sink located in the main room and minimal furniture provided. The A/C unit was not only loud but also dripping water onto the balcony. The pier and much of the property looked run down and poorly maintained-gates, doors, elevators, and even pool areas showed signs of serious neglect. Cleanliness was also an issue. While the room was somewhat clean, the garage and elevators were dirty and clearly not being tended to regularly. Key cards repeatedly failed to work, creating unnecessary stress and delays. On top of all this, maintenance activities like leaf blowing were happening at 9am-while guests were trying to check out-blasting noise and dust right at people walking to their cars and/or exiting their rooms. Staff were polite overall, but even good customer service couldn't make up for the resort’s condition. The food was average and overpriced, further adding to the sense that you’re overpaying for everything. This resort has potential, but only if serious renovations and better upkeep are prioritized. As it stands, I would not recommend staying here unless major improvements are made or the price is significantly reduced. Sadly, this was not the relaxing getaway I hoped for.
