DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Mt. Laurel

My husband and I stayed at this location for the 4th of July weekend from Thursday to Sunday. When we checked in the receptionist asked me did i hava a floor preference I told her top floor. However, she stated that none was available only on the first floor. So we took the first floor available, when we went into the first room of 130 there was gnats in the room flying around. Which made us very uncomfortable. They accommodated us by moving us across the hall for the inconvenience since we just checked in. When we got into room 129 the room smelled like a dog was in the room and wasn’t properly cleaned. Which was odd because the housekeeper just cleaned the room prior to us getting into the room. We moved to another room on Friday once the front desk told the house keeping manger, he came by and asked is it ok to check us into another room on the same floor it was much better very clean. Pierre the housekeeping manger stated that for the inconvenience he would give us 10,000 hilton honor points they were never applied I asked about it multiple times. I was advised don”t worry i will take care of it. We had to check out on Saturday due to an error with booking.com and check back in for Saturday to Sunday for 1 night since booking.com did separate reservations which means i had to pay two different holds during my stay at $100. I also saw there was an additional hold for another night on my stay I called and said we only have 2 transactions it should still be released. I”m still waiting for the points Pierre stated I will received left a message to get a call back yesterday to let him know i called the hilton honors program nothing was applied since we checked out. I never received a call. During our stay i kept requesting to speak to a manager and never had a chance to speak to one. It wasn’t the best experience, and we do travel often. I called management about the 10,000 points that was going to be provided for the inconvenience to the stay a few times its almost a month later and i still never received it on the hilton honors portal

We stayed one night on our way to New York. We had booked a room for our family of 5 but got 1 queen size bed and a pull out couch. The couch was not made and we had to do it ourselves. The couch was really nasty and I had to cover the whole couch in clean sheets to feel comfortable sleeping there. The pull out couch was also extremely uncomfortable! The carpet was really dirty. Breakfast was simple and not very good. The kids had been looking forward to swim in the pool but that one was also dirty and the water was not clear. I would not recommend staying here.

One Star – BED BUGS. Avoid this place. I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties before, but this one was a nightmare. Within hours of getting into bed, I noticed itching and found bed bugs crawling on the sheets. I immediately contacted the front desk. The staff didn’t seem surprised—just offered to move me to another room like this was a regular occurrence. No genuine apology. No urgency. No manager followed up. This place is clearly not being cleaned or inspected properly. Hilton should be ashamed to have their name on this property. If you value your health and peace of mind, do not stay here.
