Hey y'all. This was our fist time staying here. Being a conference center, it was very spacious. There were a few issues with our room. I'll post pics. I did report the red stain because I didn't want to get blamed for it. Overall a nice area and I would think about staying again.

Dear Ioanna Garza or DoubleTree Guest Relations, I have been visiting the DoubleTree since I was a child. My parents often brought us there to swim and spend time with friends, and it has always been a place I held near and dear to my heart. Unfortunately, my most recent stays this July have been extremely disappointing and far from the experience I’ve come to expect from DoubleTree. 1. Room Conditions and Unresolved Maintenance Issues During multiple stays this month, my room’s air conditioning system was not working properly. The room was unbearably hot and humid, with a strong smell of mildew that triggered my allergies. Although I reported the issue to the front desk, the only solution offered was a visit from maintenance. Despite their attempt to “fix” the AC, nothing changed, and I was told a room switch was not possible. My children and I were left to endure uncomfortable and unhealthy conditions for the remainder of our stay. 2. Lack of Safety Precautions On another occasion, my two-year-old son slipped on water in a hallway caused by a leak from a nearby bathroom. There were no visible caution signs as we entered the hallway, the only sign was placed far past where the water had already spread. This lack of safety measures could have resulted in serious injury and is simply unacceptable. 3. Unprofessional Conduct by Staff While standing at the front desk, I witnessed a server approach the counter and openly complain about not wanting to serve a banquet full of guests, showing visible frustration. What she didn’t realize is that I was a cohost of that exact banquet. This behavior was unprofessional and left me shocked, especially considering it was a family reunion we’ve been holding at DoubleTree for years. Additionally, my family and I witnessed a front desk employee kissing someone in the corner of the hotel, behavior that felt inappropriate in a professional setting. Overall, my recent experiences have left me feeling like my time and money were wasted. While the hotel may have received cosmetic updates, the quality of service, professionalism, and hospitality have drastically declined. The DoubleTree was once a place full of fond family memories, but now it has become a source of stress and disappointment. At this point, I am uncertain if I will ever choose to book this location again. I truly hope you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary changes to ensure other families do not go through the same experience.

My wife and I attended a conference at the Downers Grove location on the weekend of April 25th The hotel and amenities were good. The room clean and comfortable. The hotel was undergoing some construction be with our room being located on the upper floors, their were little noise pollution from that process. HOWEVER, I'm not certain if there was some sort of youth event, but my wife and I noticed the significant amount of unsupervised children roaming the area, especially in the hallways near rooms. The noise from them and the running up and down the halls and elevators put a damper on the stay. There were even 7 children literally playing hockey outside of our room! As parents, we train our children to respect public spaces. Where were the parents of these children and why isn't there some sort of security or hotel personnel to control this behavior? Other than that, the stay was OK, could have been better. Talk about taking "Kid Friendly" to another level.
