DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront

The location was perfect! The staff were amazing and the pool was perfect! Having the beach so close made it so easy with kids. My only complaint was the pull out couch! It was extremely uncomfortable for myself and our kids. So if traveling with kids always go with the two queen beds and not the king bed with the pull out.

We stay here every year for Summer vacation. Overall we truly enjoy it here. The staff are always friendly. Location is why we return. Everything you need is close by. We also love the room setup with separate living area. The furniture is starting to become a bit worn, stained and dated, but the beds are always cozy. Every guest room has a beautiful ocean view (except the 1st floor which has a nice grassy patio area to make up for it.) The shower water pressure is really low which is annoying trying to get sand out of your hair. Also there is only one beach shower at the boardwalk that also has very low pressure so there is always a line waiting to use it. The drinks at the bar are extremely overpriced (Over $30 for a double rum and coke and $26 for a voodo juice.) BYOB if you are on a budget. Otherwise, I feel most people would enjoy their stay here. Helpful hint…We bring a small vacuum with us when we stay so we can keep the floors free of the beach sand for the week.

We have a few complaints: 1. our sliding glass door was terrible to open and close, you need one or two people for it. 2. I use the gym at all hotels and I will say this gym was like a walk in closet and can barely do anything of one is using the weights. Huge red flag. 3. The bathroom was very small for a family of 5; but disappointed. Everything else was great.
