Possibly the Gateway to Another Dimension! Dream Island isn’t a hotel. It’s a portal. My first morning, I opened the curtains and the sunrise was so fierce I thought the sun had crash-landed in the sea. Somewhere in the distance, a rooster crowed in slow motion. The staff aren’t just friendly. The man who carried my suitcase was clearly a retired Greek demigod. The rooms are spotless, almost suspiciously so I’m convinced they’re cleaned by invisible grandmothers armed with feather dusters and supernatural pride. The beach? I went for a swim and accidentally joined a school of fish. They accepted me as one of their own until a crab gave me a disapproving look and I took the hint. Breakfast coffee is so strong it let me hear other people’s thoughts for an hour. Sadly, everyone was thinking about coffee. Leaving is the hardest part.
