Warning: Double Bookings! The administration is completely disorganized – they use four different logbooks without any clear system. As a result, we experienced a double booking. Five weeks before our reserved date, I personally visited the property and booked the cottage for my family. I even asked for a confirmation, but the staff assured me everything was properly written down in their booking book. However, upon arrival, we were told that a tour company had also booked the cottage – just three days earlier. Despite booking much later than us, they were given priority because they had already paid and were staying for ten days. The manager claimed that we should have reconfirmed our booking two days prior, but this requirement was never communicated to us. They also never contacted me to ask if we were still coming. As compensation, we were offered a stay in the Suites for one night, but we had specifically chosen the cottage. The manager showed no understanding of our frustration and did not offer an apology. It honestly feels like this may be a recurring trick they use to favor larger or more profitable bookings. Be cautious when making a reservation here.

We booked 5 cottages a month in advance. However, upon arrival, we were informed that we could not be given the cottages because “regular clients” who booked the same day were prioritized. The staff member even told us that regular clients are more important than us, as we were only staying for 2 nights. At the reception, we noticed five different calendar books being used to manage reservations, which made the system completely unorganized. This disorganization clearly led to double bookings. We want other potential guests to be aware that booking in advance is not a guarantee of accommodation here. Due to this, we ended up leaving the place entirely, which caused us significant inconvenience and disappointment. We strongly advise that this listing is reviewed so others don’t face the same experience.

During a recent visit to Dream Jet, I encountered an unsettling experience that has left me with a lasting impression. I am a regular at this establishment, often stopping by to enjoy a beer with friends. However, on this particular occasion, the atmosphere was marred by the behavior of the owner or manager, an elderly woman with a Lukiga accent. Upon arrival, it became clear that there was a distinct preference for certain clientele. The manager profiled my friends and me, implying that only white people were welcome. My Asian friend was singled out, and the manager made comments about individuals who frequent Dreamjet, suggesting they were perceived as 'thugs' if they hadn't booked in advance. This created an uncomfortable environment, especially as the manager stood nearby, watching us with a critical eye. The manager also made it a point to comment on our attire, specifically mentioning that we should not wear crocs to make the white patrons feel more comfortable. Additionally, when my friend sat on a chair that was cleaned for guests, the manager attempted to confront him, implying that he had done something wrong. Throughout the encounter, the manager refused to provide her name, which I found suspicious. Her overall behavior was unprofessional and made it clear that her preferences and biases were influencing the environment of the guest house. While the guest house may have positive reviews, my experience suggests that the management's biases and discriminatory attitudes can create an unwelcoming atmosphere for certain visitors. If you are considering a stay or a visit, it may be worth keeping these observations in mind.
