Just like the name says, this place was a dream. It was amazing. The location is awesome. The resort is beautiful. Access to the beach is perfect. The staff is very nice. And the buffets are great. If you’re planning a trip to Curaçao and familiar with the island, you can’t go wrong choosing this place.

Disappointed Birthday Trip at a Beautiful but Poorly Managed Resort At first, I wasn’t going to write a review, but I changed my mind. I came to this resort to celebrate a milestone birthday excited and ready with eight friends. On arrival, things started off great. We were warmly greeted, our bags were handled, and check-in was smooth. We grabbed some food, which was fresh and tasty, and settled into clean, welcoming rooms. Then the problems began. That same night, while sleeping, the room got unbearably hot. At first, I thought it was just the drinks catching up to me, but it turned out the AC had broken. When we called the front desk, the woman didn’t seem concerned and told us it would be back up soon. An hour later, we were told to switch rooms. In the middle of the night, most of my group had to pack up and move to other rooms only one room still had working air. The new rooms were okay but smelled damp and moldy. I had to move again. Finally, I got to a room with working AC and decided to just stay put despite everything. The next morning, breakfast was fine standard continental options, and the service was nice. The property itself is beautiful. The pool and settings are really lovely. But the AC issues continued. That night, the AC went out again. At 3 AM, I went to the front desk, only to be told it was a problem throughout the entire hotel. They offered fans, but they just blew hot air. Opening windows wasn’t an option mosquitoes would pour in. So we suffered through the heat, again. The following day, breakfast quality had dropped, and the night before, dinner had been flat-out bad—cold, unseasoned, and unappetizing even after being sent back. For an upscale resort, the dining experience was shockingly poor. On top of that, the liquor was watered down, which just added to the disappointment. By day three, the AC finally came back on but the damage was done. When we spoke to staff about all the issues, we were told vaguely that they’d “see what they could do,” but that any compensation would have to consider all guests affected, not just us. On our final day (day five), we spoke to a manager. She said the only thing they could offer was a few free nights if we wrote a positive review. I told her I wouldn’t do that and this review is exactly why. This place has so much potential. It’s beautiful, it’s in a great location, and it could be amazing. But the poor communication, lack of real customer service, unreliable AC, bad food, and weak drinks turned what should have been a special, unforgettable birthday trip into something I’d rather forget. I sincerely hope the management steps up and improves, because no one should have to spend a milestone trip dealing with this kind of experience.

Upon arriving to resort for my cousins wedding multiple people were given the wrong rooms. Some waited hours to get a room then the room had no towels nothing in the mini fridge and a cockroach in the room. Needs updates all over the hotel. Public bathrooms aren’t very clean. Food doesn’t change for buffet much at all. There is no where to get food when the buffet is closed unless you like a soggy sandwich and paying for chips. Some staff very nice and kind other extremely rude. Room service doesn’t come for HOURS after ordering. We ordered juice for mimosas the morning of the wedding for bridal party took over two hours we got it warm. Had a women scream at us for bringing food to the bridal suite and not doing room service even tho they don’t show up n we needed to eat before going to get hair and make up done. Don’t get me started on hair. They don’t have any clue how to do a simple braid. Ripped hair out of my cousins head what should have taken two hours max took four+ and us fixing hair when we got back to the room. If you are gluten free this is NOT the place for you! They don’t seem to know what is gluten and what isn’t! The only thing great about this resort is the ocean honestly. Thankfully we still made the best of it and had a great time with family.
