Dreams Huatulco Resort & Spa

We travelled with friends over spring break. This property is stunningly beautiful. The staff are exceptional. When my husband asked about a special Mexican dish that wasn’t on the menu the manager, Julio had it made special just for him. Twice!!! The food was fabulous and the infinity pools are just an extra taste of luxury. We took part in the extra pay meals and they were also top notch. The coffee bar every day felt extravagant. This property focuses on pampering their guests from check in to check out. My only sadness was that it was all red flags during our stay and the current in the bay was unsafe for my ability to swim at. There were people who used the ocean every day, I’m just not a strong enough swimmer for it. Take a trip into the friendly city and port towns. The weather was perfect every day. 10/10 recommend from couples, to groups, families, to singles. If you want top notch service ask for Julio as he was a definite highlight but really, you simply can’t go wrong at this resort. The entertainment was also quality. The only other negative was actually our holiday representative who pushed tipping over the top. That shouldn’t reflect poorly on the property though as the staff were friendly and really seemed to enjoy what they do. Do yourself a favor and book into thus resort.

This was our first time to Huatulco and we loved it. It is more authentic and not westernized like Cancun. The weather was fantastic, sunny and + 33 - 35 every day. Bring a lot of good sunscreen with zinc. We enjoyed our week at Dreams. The rooms were nice and clean with comfortable beds. Most channels were in Spanish but you can press the sap button on the remote to change to English. Mini fridge with beer, water and pop. There is a guy that has trained hawks to keep the birds away, that was cool. We really loved the infinity pools, my husband would get up early to get pool chairs under the wood shelter. The beach was nice and there was a bunch of seashells. There is a large drop off about 6 feet in the water so better to be a strong swimmer. The food was good at the buffet, we only went to the seafood restaurant and it was good as well. One thing lacking is the night life at the resort, quiet after 10:30pm and the room service had limited choices. Overall, we were very happy with our vacation at Dreams.

Beautiful and clean resort with well-kept grounds and friendly staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Great food — especially the beef fajitas — and a solid variety of drinks. A standout detail: they have a biologist with a hawk for bird control. Thanks to that, no pesky birds in open-air dining areas — a great touch. Plenty of activities (kayaks, sailing, aqua aerobics, volleyball), lots of loungers, and no annoying bracelet system. The only downside — beach was closed for 3 days due to strong waves. Still, a very good stay overall.
